| Parking Permits and Passes |
- City of Lake Geneva Residential Property Owners’ are entitled to a free 2 hour parking sticker. This sticker gives them 2 free hours from May 1 to October 31 when everyone else must feed the meter. This sticker expires on even years and renewal is required
- Vehicles registered to a business may purchase the 2 hour sticker for a $10.00 fee. The sticker is valid for two years and will be pro-rated to $5 for the second year as they expire on even number years. This sticker privilege does not apply to employees of the business, only registered business owners
- Walworth County Residents may purchase the 2 Hour Sticker for $50 with the same pro-ration for the second year, therefore $25.00 for the second year
- Senior Citizens, defined as 62 years old, have a different sticker. Again, it is free for the residential property owner and purchasable by County residents and business owners at the same price as the 2 hour stickers. This pass is a different color and the owner of the sticker may park for the length of the meter without incurring a parking ticket. If the meter could be fed coins for up to 4 hours, they get 4 hours. If it could be fed for 10 hours, they get 10, etc
- Parking Lot Passes - this pass hangs from the rearview mirror of a vehicle and is only valid in the Cook Street and Lower Center Street Lot. This is a white pass. The cost is $200 annually. This allows the owner to park for up to 10 hours in any metered stall in those lots. Stalls are not guaranteed to be available, but I have not heard that someone has been unable to find a stall in those lots. We only sell 40 Lot passes per year. Last year we sold 34. It is on a first come, first serve basis. Having a pass in one year does not guarantee you a pass for the next season. This pass is good seven days a week
- Business Class Parking Passes - this pass also hangs from the rearview mirror and is red. This pass is $150 annually. This pass allows the owner to park for a maximum of 4 hours in unrestricted parking stalls, either on the street or in lots. It is valid 7 days a week. The restricted areas are:
- The 100 & 200 Block of Broad Street
- The 100 & 200 Block of Center
- Wrigley Drive from Main to Broad
- The 600, 700, 800 & 900 Block of Main
Anyone attempting to use the “red” pass in the restricted area will be ticketed unless they own a 2 hour sticker. In the unrestricted areas, the maximum time in a stall is 4 hours. No waiver of tickets. It is also a first come, first serve basis pass and we are only issuing 40 of these passes.
